Be-bop-era: An evening of jazz and opera at Ronnie Scott's | 22nd March 2017 | 7PM

Location: Ronnie's Bar, upstairs at Ronnie Scott's, 47 Frith Street, London W1D 4HT

James Pearson, Artistic Director of Ronnie Scott's, joins singing sisters Mary and Daisy Bevan for a night exploring the styles of opera and jazz.

We are delighted to host an event in the home of jazz in London, the legendary Ronnie Scott's in Soho. Join us for a discussion intermingled with performances looking into these two genres, which seem miles apart but could have more in common than you think.

Opera singer Mary Bevan and her jazz singing sister Daisy will discuss their training, styles and careers, perform some contrasting pieces... and maybe even try on the other shoe and switch styles. James Pearson will compere and also talk about his international jazz career. There will be opportunities for you to ask questions throughout.

The event takes place at Ronnie's Bar, the upstairs venue at Ronnie Scott's. Doors will open at 6.30PM, the talk begins at 7PM. The event will be followed by networking drinks at Ronnie's Bar.
