Running the National Theatre: an interview with Nick Starr, NT Executive Director @ TMA Offices - Rose Street, Covent Garden

YPIA Theatre's February event sees Tom Morris, Artistic Director of Bristol Old Vic and Associate Director of the National Theatre, interviewing Nick Starr about his role as Executive Director of the National Theatre. The discussion will explore how an arts organisation of this size is managed on a daily basis; how the business is directed in conjunction with NT Director, Nicholas Hytner; about recent NT innovations and successes; and Nick Starr's views on what the future holds for the country's flagship institution for theatre. He will consider the role of an Executive Director in general and how his experience might relate to those working in smaller venues, whilst also touching on how his previous professional work brought him to one of the most important jobs in British theatre.

Join us from 6.30pm for a drink (included in the ticket price) before the interview, which starts promptly at 7.15pm (please note, all ticket holders must be seated by 7.10pm). The evening will continue after the interview, with networking drinks at the next door Lamb & Flag pub.

Please note that places are strictly limited, and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets must be purchased in advance through Paypal in order to confirm your place.

We gratefully acknowledge the generous support of this event by Nick Starr, Tom Morris and the Theatrical Management Association.
